Questions about services:

The advantages of Online coaching can be divided into five sectors:

  1. Order and flexibility in the training program: To progress for a long time, there is a need for constant review of changes as human beings are not machines. In the Online coaching service, the program is shared as a mutual file so I get constant feedback as we communicate during the week and I see the training videos, so both of us can edit the program according to the specific needs). In this way, I can control the progress and keep it safe and productive.

  2. Saving time and being more comfortable: In contrast to the Personal training service, in which trainees have to flex themselves to my schedule, on the Online coaching the client can train whenever it suits best (I adjust the program to the available equipment of course). In addition to that, the client doesn’t have to travel to my gym, as he can train wherever is best.

  3. Saving money: Online coaching costs significantly less than private sessions and still allows the many advantages of having a personal trainer, from technique guidance to a partner for the journey.

  4. Easier to persist: Research showed more than once that having someone who cares for your process/journey, increases motivation (they even found that having someone who cares increases our performance abilities). So having a professional personal trainer who is with you on board, helps the motivational aspect, and ability aspect and it makes it all more fun.

  5. You learn how to train alone: The program is written by a professional trainer which also fixes the technique when needed and controls the progression in the process, but at the end, The trainee is alone at the training session. This teaches the trainee how to train in the best way, so in the future, if he wants to continue by himself, he knows how. I have heard many times from trainees I had/have for more than 10 years that when they are on vacation and they want to train at the hotel’s gym- They have no idea what or how to do it, as they are fully dependent on me.

I guess that if you are here already seeking for fitness guidance, you feel something doesn’t work they way you wanted, therefore I need to understand what is the main factor which makes you feel like it. If it’s about lack of technique or lack of control in the different exercises, some personal training sessions will probably be best. Sometimes after the technique fix we realize that we should also write a program that will enhance performance. If you are training and don’t see enough results, it may be due to many reasons (nutrition, recovery, volume/intensity management and so on). So if it’s about the program you use, we can also work together in the Online coaching to find the right ways for you to overcome the plateau and continue making progress safely and effectively. It’s always about the main reason, and sometimes to combine a few solutions is the right key, I.E- Nutrition guidance, habit change, refining technique and writing a good program which will fit all the other changes). In short- Each case has it’s own solutions.

When I first launched the online coaching service, I primarily worked with experienced trainees who needed help refining their training programs and breaking through plateaus. However, over time—and especially following the onset of COVID-19, which led many people to begin training from home—I found myself coaching beginners as well, guiding them from their very first steps in the fitness world.

Because of this evolution, I believe that online coaching can be a great fit for almost anyone, as long as a few basic conditions are met:

  1. Basic self-discipline and time availability — at least two training sessions per week.

  2. Access to basic equipment or a gym membership — and if not, we can plan one together.

  3. A health condition that allows for strength training.

It’s important to note that when technique isn’t solid—whether for beginners or experienced lifters—we must prioritize learning proper form. If in-person sessions aren’t possible, I strongly recommend hiring a qualified personal trainer locally to learn the basics of weightlifting safely and effectively.

Communication is primarily done through a dedicated WhatsApp account used exclusively for coaching purposes, making it easy to stay in touch and exchange updates, videos, and feedback in real time. That said, I’m flexible—if you prefer to communicate via email or phone, that can be arranged to best suit your needs and preferences.

Not at all. I can guide you from your very first steps. In some cases—especially for beginners living abroad—I do recommend starting with a local personal trainer to learn the basic movement patterns in person. There’s no better way to build a strong technical foundation than through real-time, hands-on guidance.

Once the fundamentals are in place, refining technique through the online service becomes much more effective, using video feedback and detailed, personalized corrections.

Many experienced trainees also benefit from online coaching, especially when it comes to structured programming and progressing beyond the beginner phase. The best approach really depends on your individual situation, and I’m happy to help figure out the most effective way for you to get started.

Yes, I provide sports performance counseling, although my focus in this area has evolved over time. While I continue to assist athletes with psychological support in the realm of sports, my main focus now is on helping teenagers and adolescents develop healthier habits, live more fulfilling lives, and engage in social activities that support their overall well-being.

In addition to my private practice as a psychologist, I work at the National Institute of Sports Medicine at Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital, where I specialize in helping overweight teenagers, addressing both their physical and psychological needs. My work is centered around equipping them with the tools to improve not only their sports performance but also their mental health, empowering them to create lasting, positive changes in their lives.

You can learn more about my work in the psychology field and the services I offer on my other website: Manhart.co.il. This website provides a deeper look at my approach to psychological counseling and how I integrate psychology into my training programs.

Additionally, I incorporate a variety of psychological tools and techniques into my training programs to enhance the overall experience, improve performance, and boost motivation. By blending fitness with psychology, I aim to create a comprehensive approach that helps my clients achieve both physical and mental success.

Questions about me:

I’ve been passionate about sports and physical activity for as long as I can remember — from surfing and skateboarding to running, strength training, powerlifting, weightlifting, CrossFit, cardio and more.

I started lifting weights at home at the age of 18, and by 19 I had joined a gym with the goal of gaining muscle and getting stronger. Very quickly, I became fascinated with the science behind strength training and the intelligent methods that help people make real, sustainable progress. I began diving deep into reading and research and developed a strong interest in evidence-based training.

In 2009, at the age of 22, I graduated with honors from Wingate Institute — Israel’s most recognized institution for fitness and training education — and received my official certification as a personal trainer. Since then, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients, from children to seniors over 90, including competitive athletes, beginners, individuals in rehabilitation, and strength and bodybuilding enthusiasts. I’ve trained in over 10 different gyms, and in 2016 I opened my own training studio near Tel Aviv, where I continue to coach clients today.

Alongside my work in fitness, I pursued academic studies in psychology to deepen my understanding of human behavior and motivation. I earned a B.A. in Psychology with honors, and later completed an M.A. in Sport Psychology. Today, I’m a certified psychologist, combining both fields — psychology and fitness — to help clients not only train smarter, but also build lasting habits, strengthen mental resilience, and stay consistent over time.

My approach is rooted in both practical experience and scientific understanding. I believe in personalized, evidence-based coaching that supports both body and mind.

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method — because people aren’t machines. Each person is unique, with different needs, goals, and circumstances. That’s why I don’t follow a single rigid program or “special method.”

Instead, I draw from a wide range of evidence-based tools and strategies developed over years of research by leading experts in the fitness world. This allows me to tailor every training plan to the individual — to create a process that’s not only effective, but also healthy, sustainable, and enjoyable. The goal is always to build a program that works for you and evolves with you.
